71 Marion St, Unit 1 was a cozy condo in Somerville full of traditional Somerville touches, like warm wood flooring, bay windows and glass-enclosed built-ins.  As a stager I wanted to select furnishings and art that would elevate the space and capitalize on its unique features so that Somerville buyers would feel excited by the prospect of living there. For the living room I chose neutral furnishings with pops of color in the artwork and the gold-toned accent chairs. In the dining room I also chose more colorful, vibrant artwork that fits within the artsy, modern aesthetic that many Somerville buyers love. Ultimately the condo went under agreement after just 6 days on the market for $16k over the asking price. Also, a very similar unit just 2 houses down went on the market a week later, and then took 60 days to receive an accepted offer, and had two price reductions before receiving that offer.
